The President's Young Professionals Program (PYPP) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what types of information we collect and how we use it. What information about you do we collect? How do we use it?

Visitors to our website – Non-personally identifiable information

As you browse pyppliberia.org, we collect general user information on an aggregate basis that does not contain personally identifiable information. We use this information to understand how the site is used and how we can provide better service to our visitors.

Similar to other sites, the PYPP site utilizes standard technology called “cookies” and web server logs to collect information. Cookies are a feature of web browser software that allows web servers to recognize the computer used to access a site. Cookies are small pieces of data that are stored by a user’s web browser on the user’s hard drive. Information gathered through cookies and web server logs may include the date and time of visits, the pages viewed, time spent at our site, and the sites visited just before and just after our site. This information is collected on an aggregate basis. None of this information is associated with you as an individual.

You can disable cookies on your computer by indicating this in the preferences or options menus in your browser. However, it is possible that some parts of our site will not operate correctly if you disable cookies. You should consult with your browser’s provider/manufacturer if you have any questions regarding disabling cookies.

We may use services hosted by third parties, such as Google Analytics and Squarespace Analytics, to assist in providing our services and to help us understand how the site is used. These services may collect information sent by a browser as part of a web page request, including IP addresses or cookies. If these third party services collect information, they do so anonymously and in the aggregate to provide information helpful to us such as website trends, without identifying individual visitors. Please see “Cookies” in the section above for information on how you can control the use of cookies on your computer.

Subscribers of our newsletter – Personally identifiable information

Visitors to our site may also choose to knowingly disclose personally identifiable information (name, organization, title, and email address), which is collected on an individual basis as visitors sign up for our email newsletter. We respect your privacy and do not sell or rent email addresses. We use your personally identifiable information for specific, limited purposes – to send newsletters, alert you about events you might be interested in, and reply to your communications. If you are no longer interested in receiving PYPP communications, simply opt out by clicking the "unsubscribe" button at the bottom of our email newsletters or sending us an email at communications@globaldevincubator.org.

Operational and Advisory Partner

PYPP receives operational and advisory support from the Global Development Incubator (GDI), an organization that builds startups and partnerships for social impact around the world. In order to support PYPP, GDI has access to the data mentioned above and collects and uses data only in accordance with this privacy policy.

Data Security

We take reasonable steps to maintain the security of the personally identifiable information that we collect. However, no data transmission over the Internet can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Accordingly, we cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information that you transmit to us, so you do so at your own risk.
